Dunfermline; 1993 – 8 panels, 0.6m x 2.3m
These panels form two screens which are an integral part of the ‘drum’ housing the hospital's automatic entrance doors. They provide a colourful focal point for the reception and waiting area beyond. The design is based on a collage of symbols for the history, topography and industry of Dunfermline. The strong emphasis on primary colours in the glass is repeated throughout the building in the upholstery fabrics and coloured sign indexing.
